From design to baking
This is a major, major, MAJOR change in my life. Design was everything to me back then, and I sucked in both cooking and baking as far as I could remember. Screwing up BBQ foods last year that everyone still remembers now ( I made salty barbecued prawns, the thing is: I have a motive of causing my friends to die of kidney failure, too bad it all went to the bin, darn). People only remember others' mistakes, they just leave the good points in their subconscious mind, deep beneath every thing else. Hate to be reminded of that incident. >:( Never have I thought of being anywhere near to making food, up until now. It felt so good when you get praises from family and friends! Perhaps I have been going through criticism for the past three years in design course, that could be why. But I've never regret my design studies, the lecturers have taught me well, enabling me to learn from my mistakes through critique sessions and improve from there. I believe criticism is also crucial in the baking line to improve our skills. Oh and some photos of fruit tarts I've made last Monday that I would like to show off.. I mean show. I must say, I'm quite proud of the products though the crusts were a little burnt, but my friends loved it! Finally something that's homemade turns out to be nice! Nevertheless, there's bound to be room for improvement. Ok time to study now. Haven't been taking any form of tests nor exams for the past three years, feels weird to be studying again. Hmm.. P.S. I'm worried sick for boyfriend, can't wait to see him again when he books out! Labels: baking, BBQ, design, fruit tarts |
